Biography
I graduated from SUNY Oswego in 1978 with a degree in
communications and theater. Upon graduation and after my second
summer performing at the Springside Inn Dinner Theater in
Auburn, NY, I pursued an acting career in NYC. Within months, I
appeared in the musical CITY SUITE and signed with my first
theatrical agent. Shortly thereafter, a commercial for Oil of
Olay introduced me to the camera and two years later, I moved to
Los Angeles to further my career. I worked successfully there as
a professional film and television actress for over eighteen
years. My most notable portrayal was that of "Lt. Saavik" in
STAR TREK III: THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK and STAR TREK IV: THE VOYAGE
HOME. I later joined the cast of THE NEXT GENERATION as Romulan
mercenary "Tallera" in GAMBIT I and II. I happily celebrate my
twenty-second anniversary with Star Trek this year.
My other films include SCORPIO ONE with Robert Carradine, MAKING
CONTACT, DARK BREED, GHOST STORY, HEXED, UNBORN II, GROUND ZERO,
BABY FEVER and SANTA WITH MUSCLES. Among my television credits
are the TV films LBJ, SHOOTDOWN, and IN LOVE WITH AN OLDER
WOMAN, as well as 7TH HEAVEN, HERMAN'S HEAD, LIKELY SUSPECTS,
DREAM ON, NIGHT COURT, MACGYVER, JOHNNY BAGO, BABYLON 5 and
SPACE: ABOVE AND BEYOND. Over the years I continued to work
frequently in national commercial campaigns for companies such
as American Express, PaineWebber and International Coffees. I
also collaborated with my dear friend and producer/writer,
Brenda Friend on two screenplays: AS LONG AS YOU CAN and
UNREQUITED.
In 1999, I retired from the business, moved to Cincinnati to
marry and become a mid-western housewife. I took graduate
classes at the University of Cincinnati in the Criminal Justice
Department, became active in and treasurer for the Cincinnati
Chapter of the National Organization for Women, volunteered at
Planned Parenthood and studied for three years with an
organization designed to support and nurture female writers
called Women Writing for a Change.
In 2003, I came home to the village of Cazenovia, NY,
refurbishing and settling into an 1830’s house. I’m currently
seeking a stage in Syracuse for my one-woman sexual odyssey and
I continue to maintain an affectionate connection with Star Trek
and its beloved fans. Also, since my arrival in Upstate NY, I
obtained my real estate salesperson’s license, began
representing a very promising and impressive local builder,
David Zellar and constructed two homes in the Syracuse
